How to play

• Population is your hit points and your currency. Ships and colonists cost people, and a planet that drops to zero is lost.
• Each planet has its own economy and pays for its own defences.
• Protect your capital. Colonies send part of their income there by freighter.
• Probe a star to reveal its planets, probe a planet to learn its traits, then send a colony ship.
• Missile silos shoot at enemy warships inside radar range, but they’re less accurate at distance and struggle against fighters.
• Bombers destroy planet upgrades, and shields reduce the damage they do.
• Planet types matter: Garden, Mining and Fortress worlds each have a perk. Rare exotic deposits ship exotic matter home for Dreadnoughts and the Extinction Engine.
